SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee the State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) at Deer River High School. This full-time position will involve collaborating with educators, administrators, and community partners to enhance professional development and improve educational outcomes for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, program management, and a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees administration of projects to ensure that operations conform to the terms of the SPDG grant, and that maximum efficiency is achieved.
Works with Minnesota Dept. of Education staff to obtain their understanding of the necessity of following proper procedures in achieving Check and Connect project goals.
Monitors financial administration of grants to ensure that proper documentation is submitted for expenditures and that requests for funds are made within time limitations specified.
Coordinate cultural, PACER and other training for staff and families.
Coordinate community involvement.

Experience in grant applications and administration preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of Special Education policies.
Knowledge of Deer River and the surrounding communities.
