Summary
Deer River High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic department as a Junior High Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal position is ideal for someone who has a strong love for the sport of volleyball and is eager to inspire and develop young athletes. The coach will work closely with student-athletes to enhance their skills, promote teamwork, and foster a positive and competitive environment.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily practice sessions, ensuring a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
- Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes, ensuring they adhere to school policies and eligibility requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help athletes improve their performance.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote the overall athletic program at Deer River High School.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience or playing experience in volleyball is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with student-athletes and parents.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

Compensation will be in accordance with the current DREA Master Agreement.
