POSITION: Supervisor of Grounds

REPORTS TO: Director of Buildings and Grounds

JOB GOAL: The Supervisor of Grounds is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, care, and improvement of all district grounds, athletic fields, playgrounds, and outdoor facilities. This position manages a team of groundskeepers, coordinates daily work schedules, ensures equipment is properly maintained, and upholds safety and environmental standards across all district properties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certificate in horticulture, turf management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance, including supervisory experience.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license; ability to obtain necessary pesticide application licenses.
Strong knowledge of landscaping, turf maintenance, irrigation systems, and equipment repair.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and landscaping plans.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
