Alexandria Public Schools Community Education offers a wide variety of youth and adult programs throughout the year. Community Education is looking for creative, energetic, and personable people who have a passion for families and have outstanding customer service skills to join our dynamic team.

Recreation Coaches/Assistants support gymnastics, basketball, football, and multiple other youth and adult sports. Recreational sports exist for kids to develop a love of sports, learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork, and to have fun.

The Recreation Coaches/Assistants are often appealing to high school and college students looking for money or considering a career in teaching or child development.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age

Essential Functions:

Responsible for all aspects of directing the teams practice and play in games.

Coach and/or assist with a small group of students emphasizing skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and fun.

Be responsible for team equipment.

Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit.

Work well collaboratively and independently.

Salary Range:

$14-$20
