Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Providence Elementary School as a Full-Time LBD Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with learning and behavioral differences. The LBD Teacher will work collaboratively with students, families, and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support the academic and social-emotional growth of each student.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with learning and behavioral differences.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary to promote academic success.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies for support at home.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, engagement, and a love for learning.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and IEP documentation.
- Advocate for the needs of students with learning and behavioral differences within the school community.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, with endorsement in Learning and Behavioral Disorders (LBD).
- Experience working with students with learning and behavioral differences in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated instructional materials and strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for supporting diverse learners.
