Arise Academy, is seeking a dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in a structured school setting. This role provides direct academic, behavioral, and personal care support and plays an essential part in maintaining consistency, reinforcing expectations, and helping students move forward each day. We are looking for someone steady, professional, and ready to be part of a team that shows up and supports one another.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct academic and behavioral support throughout the school day
• Reinforce classroom structure, expectations, and daily routines
• Support individualized academic and behavioral plans
• Assist with de-escalation and development of self-regulation skills
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, as required
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment
• Communicate effectively with staff and maintain required documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree, 60 college credits, or successful completion of the Master Teacher Paraprofessional Assessment
• Experience working with youth in educational or structured settings preferred
• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in challenging situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Sound judgment and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries
• Basic computer proficiency
• Successful completion of required background check
