Summary
Under the direction of the Elementary Principal, the Elementary Dean / District Teaching & Learning Coordinator supports positive school culture, student behavior systems, and instructional leadership in literacy. This position is designed to provide building-level leadership in areas related to student discipline, social-emotional learning, MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports), and academic achievement. The Elementary Dean / District Teaching & Learning Coordinator works collaboratively with staff, students, families, and administration to foster a safe, inclusive, and academically supportive school environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (required); Master’s Degree preferred.

Valid Minnesota Teaching License.

Three years of successful classroom teaching experience.

Administrative licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.

Demonstrated leadership experience in curriculum, instruction, and student support.

Valid MN driver’s license.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of literacy development and research-based reading instruction (e.g., LETRS, Science of Reading).

Familiarity with PBIS, restorative practices, SEL, and MTSS frameworks.

Effective classroom management and student engagement strategies.

Data analysis skills and ability to translate data into action plans.

Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.
