Summary:
Albany Area Schools is seeking custodian substitutes to join our team. The custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and inform management of any needed restocking.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to facilities.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up for events and meetings.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in custodial work preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and management.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Wage:

$14.47 per hour
