Libertyville School District 70 is seeking a Long-term Substitute Self-Contained K/1 Structured Learning Classroom Teacher for Butterfield School. This opportunity is anticipated from September 29, 2025 to approximately November 7, 2025. The first 10 days are paid at $145 per day, and the remaining days are paid at $220.12 per day.

Qualifications:

Appropriate State of Illinois License in Special Education (K-12) or Early Childhood Education.
Student teaching and/or current experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder, preferably in a self-contained classroom.
Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for teaching students with autism, including ABA techniques, structured teaching, and sensory integration strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and outside professionals.

Purpose: To help young students with autism grow and develop.
