Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a Guided Study Tutor for the Student Learning Programs Division. This position is a full time 10 month position.

Title:

Learning Center Tutor: Communications Arts- Full Time 10 Months

Start Date: 08/06/2025

Time: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm for the 2025-2026 school year.

Description:

The Learning Center Tutor: Communications Arts is a full-time position from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm daily. The tutor works with students individually or in small groups to solidify and deepen concepts and skills in their Communication Arts courses. The main focus of the role is to help students with writing assignments. In addition, the tutor interacts with classroom teachers and communicates the progress of individual students.

Qualifications:

ISBE licensure is required.
Must have a paraprofessional (PARA) or substitute (SUB) license. A professional educator license (PEL) with an endorsement in Communication Arts is preferred.
Knowledge of Literacy & Reading Strategies preferred.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion

Salary:
SSSA Agreement (all support staff positions at Stevenson High School shall be paid no less than $17.75/hour). The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
