Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a long-term substitute School Counselor for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Description:
The School Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to support students' ongoing academic, post-secondary, and personal/social/emotional development. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the developmental needs of students and be familiar with the ASCA national model. Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills in order to foster effective communication with all stakeholders including families, faculty, staff, and administration. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to assess the needs of students and act as an intervention strategist by using data to track progress and execute the Response to Intervention process.

Qualifications:
ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement required.
Interested applicants must possess knowledge of the RtI problem-solving process, school-based individual and group counseling techniques, and supporting students under IDEA and Section 504.

Tentative Dates: August 1, 2025 through November 4, 2025

Salary and Benefits: $345.11/per full day assignment. No additional benefits are associated with this position.
