Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a School Store Specialist for the School Operations Division.

Title:

School Store Specialist - Full Time 12 Month

Start Date: 11/4/2024

Time: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 2024-2025 school year.

Description:

The School Store Specialist will handle various administrative duties and support Manager’s projects.

School Store Operations

Facilitate the payments, deposits and reconciliation of the building’s cash, credit card and online transactions in accordance with district financial policies, procedures and guidelines
Serve as a School Store financial liaison with District Office and School Operations
Assist student activities/athletics and parent groups by providing cash handling, collecting fees and performing relevant administrative tasks
Build and maintain the Web Store
Work with the Communications Department to keep the SHS Store Webpage up to date and marketing for the school store.
Process, account for and manage student fees collected by the School Store
Receive and record payments submitted by students, staff, and community members
Handle all aspects of purchasing of apparel, supplies, and equipment based on requests and needs of the students, staff and parent groups
Account for the inventory of all items in the store
Record and reconcile daily, weekly, monthly sales
Work with directors, faculty/staff, administrators, and parent organizations to keep the School Store inventory in line with student and community needs
Promote store through video announcements, The Minuteman, and other areas, as needed
Prepare documentation for monthly Sales Tax report (ST-1)
Hire, train, supervise students as needed to operate the store
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor

Registration

Schedule appointments with families
Manage and process student registration
Process registration payments
Assist with other office registration responsibilities

School Operations

Provide Phone and Email support to families
Process Student Fundraising
Refunding/Transfer of Patriot Dollars

Education, Licensure, and Experience

High School Diploma, college preferred
Familiarity with computer applications such as MS-Office and Google Suite

Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills

Ability to effectively utilize appropriate equipment (i.e. copy machine)
Knowledge of computer hardware & software (word processing, spreadsheets, electronic calendars, electronic mail, etc.)
Professional, customer-service oriented
