Hours/Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday
Contract/Salary Range/Benefits: 206 Days/Hourly – Non-Rep Salary Placement ($32.39 per hour - current school year rate), SEBB insurance, PFML, Washington DRS, paid days off (12 sick days, 2 personal days, and 11 holidays ), longevity pay
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred, previous school experience preferred
- Experience in office operations, and customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to perform multiple tasks with many interruptions and be positive, flexible and patient in trying situations
- Highly organized and efficient
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Applications; ability and willingness to learn new technology and operate a variety of software programs
- Proficient in oral and written communications
- Ability to follow directions, assume responsibility for duties, maintain confidentiality, and work independently
- Must have a proven record of punctuality, dependability, and consistent attendance
- Light to moderate work involving some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 35 pounds and occasionally more
- Ability to manage Absence Management and Skyward Programs
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service to students, families, volunteers, staff, and administrators, greeting all guests in the main office and providing guest badges, bus passes, etc as appropriate.
- Effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing
- Engage in a positive, tactful, pleasant, and courteous manner at all times
- Complies with district board policies and procedures
- Provides assistance to the district using automated staff/student messaging including weather and emergency-related call-outs
- Responsible for ordering all graduation supplies, including diplomas, caps/gowns, and faculty attire for commencement
- Assists in the planning of class activities, specifically senior class activities and all senior events culminating with the graduation ceremony and preparation of commencement programs, as well as inventorying, ordering, and creating academic and extracurricular awards for the end-of-year student recognition assemblies
- Coordinating faculty end-of-year checkout process
- Perform general office duties including answering multi-line phones, greeting the public, typing, filing, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail, and manage/operate equipment such as computers, calculators, photocopiers, FAX, telephone and intercom systems, etc.
- Collect timesheets from certificated and classified staff
- Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries
- Coordinates annual student return-to-school processes and events, communicating all details to students, families and staff
- Creates and coordinates special projects including scheduling meetings, field trip documentation and coverage, school newsletters, planning calendars, and other school-year projects as assigned
- Assist school nurse and follow and administer medical protocols for students and provide first aid to staff and students and maintain an accurate log of distribution consistent with District policy(ies)
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors
- Administers key control of the building including issuing key cards to community members, new staff and coaching staff
- Assists in planning emergency evacuation maps annually and prepares evacuation materials. Provides military lists to authorized officials
- Procure substitutes for all staff members, and ensure adequate classroom coverage daily
- Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required
- Comply with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations
- Attend work regularly and on time
- Perform other job-related or building-specific duties assigned by the building administrator and/or Superintendent or his/her designee
