Summary:
The Substitute School Nurse will be responsible for providing medical care and assistance to students in the absence of the regular school nurse. This is a temporary position that may require flexibility in terms of work location and schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Administer medication to students as prescribed by a physician
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students as needed
- Monitor and maintain student health records
- Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student health concerns
- Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to promote healthy living habits among students
- Maintain a clean and organized medical office and equipment
- Follow school policies and procedures related to student health and safety

Requirements:
- Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Washington
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and medical conditions
- Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in terms of work location and schedule
- Ability to pass a background check

This position is eligible for benefits if 630 hours are met in the school year.
