Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a Learning Center Tutor for the Student Learning Programs Division. This position is a full time 10 month position.

Title:

Learning Center Tutor: Science- Full Time 10 Months

Start Date: 08/06/2025

Time: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm for the 2025-2026 school year.

Description:

The Science Tutor: Science is a full-time position from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm daily. The tutor works with students individually or in small groups to solidify and deepen concepts and skills in their science courses. In addition, the tutor interacts with classroom teachers and communicates the progress of individual students

Qualifications:

ISBE licensure is required.
Must have a paraprofessional (PARA) or substitute (SUB) license. A professional educator license (PEL) with an endorsement in Science/Physics is preferred.

Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to work effectively with all members of the Stevenson community, including students, staff members, and parents
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Ability to effectively utilize appropriate equipment

Salary:
SSSA Agreement (all support staff positions at Stevenson High School shall be paid no less than $17.75/hour). The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
