Summary
The Gunks Middle School is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Attendance Secretary. This role is essential in maintaining accurate attendance records, supporting the administrative functions of the school, and ensuring that students are accounted for daily. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all students, ensuring compliance with state and district policies.
- Monitor daily attendance reports and follow up on absences, tardies, and early dismissals.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student attendance issues and concerns.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of attendance-related reports for school administration.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accurate reporting of student attendance.
- Manage and update student attendance databases and systems.
- Provide administrative support to the school office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling inquiries.
- Assist with the coordination of school events, including attendance tracking for special programs and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in administrative support is a plus.
- Previous experience in a school setting or administrative role preferred.
