Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative educator to join our team at Pratt Academic Center as a full-time specialist in Art and Reading Interventions. This position focuses on delivering engaging and effective instruction in visual arts while also providing targeted support for students requiring reading interventions. The ideal candidate will foster a creative learning environment, promote literacy skills, and collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall academic experience for students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for art and reading intervention classes that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and a love for learning.
- Assess students' artistic abilities and reading levels to tailor interventions and instructional strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other specialists to design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
- Organize and facilitate art projects, exhibitions, and reading programs that promote student engagement and community involvement.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic and artistic goals.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional practices and stay current with educational trends.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for supporting learning at home.
- Contribute to the overall mission and vision of Pratt Academic Center through active participation in school events and initiatives.

Requirements
