Hours are 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor school grounds, buildings, parking lots, and perimeter to deter and detect unauthorized or unsafe activity.
Monitor entrances, hallways, and common areas to ensure compliance with school policies.
Enforce school safety rules and regulations fairly and consistently.
Build positive rapport with students, staff, and families to promote a safe and respectful school environment.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
Operate a variety of office equipment in an efficient manner.
Assist in improving student attendance.
Perform clerical duties as needed.
Participate regularly in staff meetings, in-service programs, workshops and seminars.
Under supervision of certificated teacher(s), prepare individualized or small group classroom instruction.
Conduct all work in a safe manner and comply with rules & regulations as specified by district policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Seventy-two (72) college quarter credits and/or AA required and/or completion of ETS test.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to follow directions and to follow through efficiently and independently on assigned tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
Knowledge and ability to operate computers.
Knowledge of filing systems and standard office equipment and machines.
Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.
