Century School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Physical Education Teacher to join our team at Century Elementary. This full-time position is designed for an individual who is passionate about promoting physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and social skills among young learners. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging environment where students can develop their physical abilities while fostering a love for movement and teamwork.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes physical fitness, motor skills, and teamwork.
- Plan and conduct engaging physical education classes for students in grades K-5, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on physical skills, fitness levels, and personal development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages all students to participate and develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects and promote overall student wellness.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, including sports teams, fitness clubs, and special events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, behavior, and physical education initiatives.
- Stay current with best practices in physical education and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and suitable for student use.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education for elementary education.
- Previous teaching experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical education principles, practices, and curriculum development.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the classroom.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
