The Park Rapids School District is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Junior High Boys Track Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for athletics and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for young athletes. This seasonal position involves coaching and mentoring middle school boys in track and field, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement effective training programs for junior high boys participating in track and field events.
- Conduct daily practices, focusing on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork.
- Teach proper techniques for various track events, including sprints, distance, hurdles, and field events.
- Organize and supervise team meets and competitions, ensuring athletes are prepared and informed.
- Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages athletes to reach their full potential.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of athletes, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive and effective athletic program.
- Uphold school policies and regulations regarding student-athlete conduct and safety.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in track and field or related sports, preferably at the middle school level.
- Strong knowledge of track and field techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain prior to the season.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and weekends during the season.
- A valid background check in accordance with school district policies.
