The Park Rapids School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic department as a Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Park Rapids High School. This seasonal position is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals and a desire to foster the growth and development of young athletes. The coach will play a crucial role in creating a positive and competitive environment while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily practices, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
- Develop and implement game plans for competitions, ensuring all players understand their roles.
- Coach and mentor student-athletes during practices and games, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes, promoting a balance between academics and athletics.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and hard work.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of players, encouraging participation in the volleyball program.
- Collaborate with the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the program.
- Attend all scheduled games and events, representing Park Rapids High School with professionalism.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and organized environment for practices and games.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or junior high level, is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches, players, and school staff.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification desired or the ability to obtain certification prior to the start of the season.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games during the season, and support the program through the off season.
