Park Rapids School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Junior High Wrestling Coach for the upcoming season at Century School/High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wrestling, a commitment to fostering a positive team environment, and the ability to inspire and develop young athletes. This seasonal position will focus on teaching wrestling techniques, promoting teamwork, and encouraging personal growth among student-athletes.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct daily wrestling practice sessions, focusing on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork.
- Teach fundamental wrestling techniques and strategies to student-athletes of varying skill levels.
- Develop and implement training programs that promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility.
- Organize and supervise wrestling matches and tournaments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and rules.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, schedules, and expectations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and supports individual growth.
- Monitor student-athletes' academic performance and provide guidance to ensure they maintain eligibility.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and school personnel to enhance the overall athletic program.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay updated on the latest wrestling techniques and coaching strategies.

Requirements
- Previous experience in wrestling, either as a participant or coach, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of wrestling techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification prior to the start of the season.
- Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the wrestling season.
