2026-2027 Temporary Physical Education Teacher at Northbrook Junior High (11/30/2026 - 3/31/2027)

Daily Rate: $310.85 per day
Duration of Assignment: 11/30/2026 through 3/31/2027
Schedule: 8:15am - 3:45pm

Qualifications & Licensure
Illinois Professional Educator License with Physical Education Endorsement Grades 6-8 preferred

Reports to:
Assistant Director of Student Services

Performance Responsibilities:

Develop in each student an appreciation of physical education and health
Provide instruction on fitness-related activities and age-appropriate skills aligned with various exercises and sports, differentiating across grade levels and students as needed
Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
Integrate technology into the learning program
Collaborate with all NBJH personnel and parents; communicate with staff and parents on student progress
Participate in curriculum planning
Assist with the selection and recommendation of materials, equipment and other instructional resources for the learning program
Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and building and district administration
Perform other duties as assigned
