Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead GSRP Preschool Teacher to join our Early Childhood Programs team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for preschool children, implementing the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) required components using Highscope curriculum. The candidate will convey positivity and professionalism in fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on young learners and their families in the Milan community.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the GSRP curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive interactions and learning.
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child, providing individualized support and interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with parents and families to encourage their involvement in their child's education and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, as well as program policies and procedures.
- Engage with the community to promote the program and build partnerships that support children's learning.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or a valid Michigan teaching certification for preschool or early childhood education. Candidates without this certification but enrolled in a plan for completion within 3 years may be considered if certified candidates are not available or suitable for the position.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with preschool-aged children preferred, preferably in a lead teaching role.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning, communication, and record-keeping.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
