Dassel-Cokato Public Schools is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in our early childhood program (serving students ages 3-6), Middle School and High School. The SLP will be responsible for planning and implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of speech/language therapy services to support student’s communication development and participation in the education environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and experienced in working with learners in an educational setting.

Availability for the end of April 2026-June 2026.

DUTIES

Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students ages 3–6 and grades 5-12 in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Participate in the development, review, and revision of IEPs in collaboration with teachers, families, and other team members.
Implement evidence-based therapy interventions to address students’ speech, language, fluency, and communication needs.
Consult with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate communication goals into daily routines and classroom activities.
Maintain accurate records of services, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, strategies, and home carryover activities.
Maintain positive and constructive communication with staff.
Collaborate with general and special education teams to support inclusive practices and student success.
Maintain and report accurate student attendance and performance records.
Adhere to due process timelines and complete individualized education plan and evaluation paperwork to guide educational programming.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Current Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Preferred:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
Experience working with preschool and early childhood and adolescent populations
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
