Build the Foundation. Shape What Comes Next.

For some student-athletes, the JV team is where they begin to discover what they are capable of. They may arrive with raw ability, limited experience, or uncertainty about whether they truly belong. As the LHS 2nd Assistant Boys Basketball Coach and JV Coach, you will help students develop the fundamentals, confidence, discipline, and sense of belonging they need to grow within the Lakeside basketball program.

Effective instruction is paramount, and positive relationships are foundational to our success. The right coach will teach with patience, set meaningful expectations, recognize progress that may not appear on the scoreboard, and remain steady when students make mistakes. This is an opportunity to help young people learn how to respond to setbacks, contribute to a team, and represent their school and community with pride.

Quality leadership matters at every level of a program. We are looking for an adult who understands that coaching is about more than developing basketball players, it is about building resilient, accountable, and confident young people. If you believe athletics can shape who students become, we invite you to help build the foundation for what comes next at Lakeside High School.

Salary: The salary range for the position is Min. $2,813 to Max. $3,750. Salary placement will be at Step 0 of the Coaches Agreement unless documentation of experience is received in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
