TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY
As outlined by and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of Nine Mile Falls Education Association (NMEA) and Policies and Procedures of Nine Mile Falls School District. This supplemental contract will be paid at the Extended Teaching Responsibilities Rate and must be time sheeted. Salary placement is according to the Nine Mile Educators Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. Work Location: Lake Spokane Elementary School

Nature and Scope of Job: (1 or 2 sentence summary of position)
Conduct the special education summer program for students who qualify for Extended School Year.

Dates of instruction are:

Monday through Thursday 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Monday, June 23, 2025 through July 10, 2025

Work day will be 3 hrs./day for 12 days, plus 6 hours prep for a total of 42 hours.

Position Reports To: Michelle Mace, Director of Student Services

Employment Period: Summer 2025 not to exceed 42 hours.

Primary Job Functions

Set up and implement appropriate programs for special education students who qualify for extended school year.
Consult with parents regarding student progress on ESY goals.
Complete the appropriate forms tracking student progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements (Traits, Education, Certifications, Experience, Training, physical requirements, etc.):

BA in Education, Washington State Teaching Certificate, Appropriate Endorsement
WSP/FBI Clearance
Physically capable of lifting students (50 pounds), kneeling, and bending
Ability to respond appropriately to aggressive and disruptive behaviors
Desired Qualifications
B.A in Education, Washington State Teaching certificate with Special Education Endorsement
Self-motivated, enjoys working with people
Specific educational training & demonstrated successful experience in instructing students with special needs in a public school Special Education setting
Ability to express thoughts concisely and effectively
