Salary: The salary range for the position is: Min.$516.07 Max.$516.07. Salary placement will be at Step 0 of the Coaches Agreement unless documentation of experience is received per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Collective Bargaining Agreement and Salary Schedules can be reviewed from the Human Resources page of the Nine Mile Falls School District www.9mile.org. Classified, Substitute staff that would be in an overtime situation (more than 40 hours per week in cumulative work hours) if they received this position, may not be eligible for this opening.

Work Location: Lakeside High School

Nature and Scope of Position: (1 or 2 sentence summary of position)
Requires an individual who has experience in coaching at the secondary and/or college/club level. A high degree of knowledge of the sport is required. The individual must obtain first aid/CPR and required WIAA clock hours.

Position Reports To: Athletic Director, Jennifer Harmer

Season: Spring

Primary Job Functions

Assists the Head Track and Field Coach
Maintains team discipline, and WIAA standards.
Coaches individual participants in skills necessary to achieve excellence in Track and Field.
Models and encourages good sportsmanship.
Explains eligibility requirements and participation rules to athletes.
Maintains equipment inventory/upkeep, schedules practice, oversees safety, record keeping as necessary, and other duties as determined by the Athletic Director.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage the program to represent the school and community with integrity, sportsmanship, and positive character traits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Qualifications (Traits, Education, Experience, Training, physical requirements, etc.):

First Aid/CPR Card
WSP/FBI Fingerprint Clearance
Be a High School Graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program.
Ability to obtain required WIAA clock hours
Successful experience in coaching at the secondary, collegiate, or club level.
Knowledge of effective and safe Pole Vaulting techniques.
Great sportsmanship, positive relationships, and effective communication with students, families, and staff.

Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct young athletes.
Demonstrated ability to develop life-long character traits in students.
Demonstrated ability to maintain and build a highly successful Pole Vault program
