Contractor - Athletic Trainer

Summary:
VISD is seeking a fully licensed Athletic Trainer. to join our team as a Contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing athletic training services to our District, which includes assessing and treating injuries, developing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and educating athletes and coaches on injury prevention.

Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat athletic injuries, including providing first aid and emergency care as needed
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes
- Communicate with coaches, parents, and medical professionals regarding athlete injuries and progress
- Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention techniques and proper conditioning
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:
- Current certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
