Summary
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our educational team as Substitutes for absent Teachers and Teacher Assistants. This on-call as needed daily position is district-wide, offering the opportunity to work across various classrooms and support the learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, a commitment to student success, and the ability to step into different roles as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of the regular teacher, following lesson plans and adapting as necessary to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assist classroom teachers in preparing instructional materials, managing classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Support students with individual learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the classroom teacher as needed.
- Foster a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a consistent and effective learning environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred
- Valid substitute teaching license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and adapt to varying classroom environments.
- Experience in a classroom setting, either as a teacher or assistant, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to support learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.
- Background check as required by district policies.
