Reports to: Director of Early Childhood & Community Learning

Start Date: Immediately

Rate of Pay: $50,773 - $55,494 - pay commensurate with experience

Schedule: M-F, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 260 days/year

Qualifications:

● Demonstrated knowledge and/or expertise in Early Childhood Education

● Has Qualifications outlined by LARA and the State of Michigan for Early Childhood Program Director and School-Age Program Director

● TB tests required

Job Responsibilities:

● Develop and coordinate quality enrichment and recreation programs for all Chelsea Community Education early childhood and aftercare programs, including GSRP

● Facilitate and direct all before and after school programming

● Collaborate with community education and other district programs

● Schedule and comply with all licensing expectations

● Assist in the hiring process of all preschool and childcare staff

● Explore grant and alternative grant funding options

● Facilitate and direct preschool programming

● Facilitate and plan summer day camp programming

● Assist with marketing of programs

● Input registration information where necessary

● Visit and assist programs while in session

● Provide all on site supervision as required

● Facilitate staff meetings

● Maintain budget, create PO’s, manage payroll for every program

● Other duties may be assigned
