Rate of Pay: Starting at $17.11/hour –Pay commensurate with experience

Schedule: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 203 days/year, must have availability in summer months

Qualifications:

● Strong communication and public relations skills.

● Ability to assume responsibilities with minimum direct supervision.

● Ability to work in multi-task situations.

● Ability to hold and maintain a CDL with necessary endorsements for transporting students.

● Excellent word processing and data entry skills.

Job Responsibilities:

● Develop and manage bus routes for safe and efficient student transportation.

● Dispatch drivers daily, ensuring on-time departures and adherence to schedules.

● Coordinate field trips, working with schools and staff to organize travel logistics.

● Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and trip logs.

● Provide office support, including answering inquiries, processing paperwork, and assisting with transportation concerns.

● Assist with supervision and traffic control at the transfer site.

● Communicate with drivers, parents, and school staff to address transportation-related issues.

● Assist with processing job postings, job applications, and required documentation for new hires.

● Maintain seniority lists, hours worked lists, and required employee documents.

● Coordinate meetings and staff development programs.

● Manage the office, including word processing, filing, duplication of materials, etc.

● Maintain purchasing and financial records for the Transportation Department

● Support compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.

● Assist with payroll duties and work with the business department on related payroll items.

● Work with the personnel department on maintaining employee files.

● All other duties as assigned.
