This position requires a valid Michigan teaching certificate. We will work with individuals that do not possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate but have a Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field for certification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Teaching certification.

· Open minded, flexible thinker, innovative and a collaborator.

· Ability to work with all people, out-going and positive to help create and maintain positive culture within the athletic department and individuals at athletic events.

· Able to stay calm in all situations, work in a face paced environment and handle difficult situations with confidentiality and integrity.

· Must enforce all MHSAA, Wolverine Conference and Plainwell Community School policies relating to conduct of athletes and participation in athletics.

· Strong organizational and planning skills to run athletic events, supervising event staff, seating, crowd control and community events during contests.

· Attend home and away athletic events at high school or middle school as necessary.

· Assist Athletic Director and PCS Marketing Director in gathering information for social media to advertise events, results and accomplishments of the Athletic Department and participants.

· Communicate through various platforms about event and general information with staff, Wolverine Conference and opponents.

· Assist Athletic Director with hiring and onboarding of new staff members.

· Support middle school athletic programs with scheduling, hiring, eligibility and event supervision.

· Assist Athletic Director in developing student leadership.

· Assist with training coaches on various technology tools, strengthen instruction and MHSAA requirements.

· Assist athletes with post secondary support, athlete recruitment and signings.

· Assist athletic director with community and parent engagement during our athletic events, fundraising efforts, support of athletics and Plainwell Community Schools.

Additional Information:

· Head coaching experience or related athletic experience mandatory.
