TITLE OF POSITION: Otsego High School Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) Level 1

STARTING DATE: 2026-27 School Year

CLOSING DATE: March 12, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are looking to add a Special Education teacher to our secondary staff.

Primary tasks (non-exhaustive list):

Instruct students with special needs in core content using a variety of techniques, such as pull out intervention groups and push in support into the general education classroom in order to meet students' varying needs.
Collaborate with other teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise secondary school programs.
Confer with other staff members to plan or schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, or other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for students' educational, physical, or social development.

Requirements:

Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate, with Special Education endorsement
Experience in level 1 special education preferred
Experience at the secondary level preferred
