Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient Teacher Aide to support special education students participating in our job training and work-based learning programs. The aide will assist students both in the classroom and at community-based job sites, providing instructional, behavioral, and support under the direction of a certified special education teacher.

Responsibilities:

Assist students with job training activities both on and off campus.
Support students in developing work habits, communication skills, and vocational abilities.
Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support as directed by the teacher.
Help implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans.
Supervise and monitor students at work sites, modeling appropriate workplace behaviors.
Communicate regularly with the supervising teacher and job site partners.
Assist with data collection and documentation of student progress.
Support students with transportation, mobility, and self-care needs as necessary.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education (preferred).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
Must be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and assist students at job sites for extended periods.
Ability to lift or assist students as needed.
