Job Description:
Millstream Career Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Career Tech Construction Trades Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive construction trades curriculum, preparing students for careers in the industry, and fostering a hands-on learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with industry standards and school curriculum.
Teach students fundamental skills in construction trades, including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and safety procedures.
Provide hands-on training and classroom instruction in construction methods, tools, materials, and blueprint reading.
Prepare students for industry certifications, apprenticeships, and workforce readiness.
Collaborate with industry professionals, businesses, and post-secondary institutions to enhance student learning opportunities.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom and workshop environment.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Support students in career development and job placement.
Participate in professional development and continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Vocational Education, or a related field (preferred but not absolute necessary)
At least 5 years of industry experience in construction trades.
Teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification (required by the state/district).
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and industry partners.
Passion for technical education and student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior teaching or training experience.
Industry certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, NCCER, Journeyman License).
