FCS is seeking an innovative and dynamic Performing Arts Specialist to join our team and help shape the future of our fine arts programs. This is a unique opportunity to lead curriculum development, evaluate program impact, and collaborate with a dedicated team of educators to enhance our arts education offerings.

Primary Responsibilities:

Curriculum Alignment & Development: Spearhead the alignment and development of a comprehensive PreK-12 performing arts curriculum, ensuring seamless articulation across all courses.
Program Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of our performing and fine arts programs, assessing their impact and effectiveness.
Course Development Leader: Drive the creation of new performing arts courses in collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning.
CTE Liaison: Act as the bridge between our performing arts programs and the Millstream Career Center, enhancing career and technical education opportunities.
Special Projects Collaboration: Collaborate with the Coordinator of Development on innovative projects that advance our performing arts initiatives.
Gifted Program Partnership: Collaborate with the Gifted Coordinator to identify and nurture gifted and creative talent within the fine arts.

Secondary Responsibilities:

District Support: Be prepared to assume district supplemental positions related to the performing arts as needed.
Professional Development: Contribute to the planning and execution of professional development for staff, leading sessions focused on the performing arts.
Instructional Coaching: The role may expand to include K12 instructional coaching, supporting teachers in the performing and fine arts.

Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in K12 or university-level performing arts education (music, theater, dance, etc.) is required.
