Lunchroom Aid

Summary
Durand Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lunchroom Aid. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, organized, and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our students. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with school staff to support the smooth operation of the lunchroom and promote a positive environment for all students.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunchtime to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Assist in the distribution of food and beverages to students.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the lunchroom, including cleaning tables and disposing of waste.
- Monitor student interactions and provide support as needed to resolve conflicts or behavioral issues.
- Assist with setting up and taking down lunchroom equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding lunchroom policies and procedures.
- Support students with special dietary needs and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate school personnel.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward students.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
