POSITION SUMMARY: The School Improvement and Instruction Coordinator (Secondary) is responsible for coaching, supporting, facilitating and implementing school improvement efforts including MTSS and EWIMS systems, Disciplinary Literacy Essentials, secondary networks, and learning labs within the SRESD as well as throughout Shiawassee County local districts. The School Improvement and Instruction Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance, support, and coaching to local schools and districts identified by the state as targeted (TSI), additional targeted (ATS), or comprehensive support (CSI) schools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

● Three or more years of classroom experience teaching at the secondary level.

● Experience with School Improvement/Continuous Improvement

● Experience with creating MTSS and EWIMS systems preferred.

● Experience with Disciplinary Literacy Essentials preferred.

● Experience with managing projects and/or initiatives.

● Experience with creating and conducting professional learning activities.

● Leadership experience and/or working with educators in professional learning communities
