Position: FTE 1.0 Secondary Art Teacher

Job Summary: A full-time position for grades 6-12. The successful candidate must desire to

be part of an innovative teaching team and be passionate about helping students learn.

Qualifications:

Valid Michigan 6-12 Teaching Certificate.
PBIS background/training preferred.
Strong communication skills and background in Developmentally Appropriate Practice.
Knowledge and experience implementing Common Core State Standards.
Strong and innovative applications of technology for enhancing instructional practices,

improving student achievement and increasing student engagement.

Formal training and experience using differentiated instruction is desired.
Strong background in cooperative learning and hands-on investigation.
Highly collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
Criminal Background and Central Registry check required for employment.

Reports To: Jr/Sr High School Principal

Salary and Benefits: Per Contract (TBD Based on Experience: $39,924.00 - $69,898.00 per year)
