English as a Second Language Paraprofessional

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide academic support to English Learner (EL) students in general education and ESL classrooms, helping students access curriculum and complete assignments.
Support language development by reinforcing vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking skills in one-on-one or small-group settings.
Assist in the supervision and engagement of EL students throughout the school day, including structured study or intervention periods.
Collaborate with ESL and content-area teachers to gather and organize instructional materials and resources that support language learning.
Help facilitate accommodations and modifications as outlined in individual Language Acquisition Plans.
Serve as a liaison between students, teachers, and the ESL teacher to support effective communication and student needs.
Maintain confidentiality with records related to student progress, interventions, and services.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in culturally diverse settings.
Assume all other duties as assigned by the building administrator.
Work as a team member to help our students build success stories.
