Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic department as a Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal position is ideal for someone with a strong background in volleyball who is eager to support the head coach in developing student-athletes both on and off the court. The assistant coach will play a crucial role in fostering a positive team environment, enhancing players' skills, and promoting sportsmanship.

Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and executing daily practice sessions, including skill development and conditioning.
- Help organize and manage team activities, including games, tournaments, and team meetings.
- Provide individual and group instruction to players to improve their technical skills and game understanding.
- Monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their development.
- Collaborate with the head coach to develop game strategies and prepare for upcoming competitions.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and dedication.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations, as well as state and national athletic guidelines.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the volleyball program.
- Attend all practices, games, and team events as required.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in volleyball at the high school level or higher preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or the willingness to obtain certification.
- Must pass a background check as required by school policy.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the volleyball season.
