NATURE OF POSITION:
The paraprofessional will assist in the implementation of 35n reading strategies and the educational needs of students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree; OR 60+ credit hours from a degree granting college/university
Parental experience desired but not required
Ability to work well with children and adults
Maintain a general interest in helping children in their educational process
Calm and patient demeanor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in individual or small group pupil instruction in the area of reading
Assist classroom teacher(s) in maintaining discipline and supervision in the classroom
Assist in escorting students to and from various rooms, when necessary
Demonstrate initiative and creativity with student(s)
Serve as substitute teacher in the event of a lack of teacher coverage in the building
Adhere to district health and safety procedures
Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the principal and/or classroom teacher(s)
