High School Math Teacher

Summary:
We are seeking a full-time math teacher for our 9-12 grade students at Olivet High School. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching math to high school students and should be able to create an engaging and challenging learning environment that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of our students.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with state standards and meets the needs of all students
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning
- Assess student learning regularly and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, kindness, and a love of learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
- Attend and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, A Michigan Teaching Certificate, Secondary Teaching Certificate and Math Endorsement of EX required.
- Experience teaching high school math preferred
- An interest in and ability to teach computer classes preferred

- Strong content knowledge in mathematics and the ability to teach a range of topics, including algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to student learning and a growth mindset approach to teaching
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Familiarity with technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
