Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our educational team at Webberville Middle & High School as a Special Education Teacher for the secondary level. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students. This full-time position requires a collaborative approach to teaching, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of special education practices and regulations.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate special education certification or working towards the appropriate certification

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of theory, research methods, and best practices in special education and general education instruction.
Work collaboratively with other staff members and administrators.
Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, and administration.
Knowledge of age appropriate curriculum, application of appropriate assessment, and knowledge of effective use of age appropriate, research based instructional strategies for secondary students.
Planning and organizational skills.
Digital literacy skills.
