About The Role
Under the direction of Early Childhood Special Education Birth to 3 Director, the Early On Supervisor is responsible for planning and implementing activities and requirements for Early On and Michigan Mandatory Special Education (MMSE) programs and services with the Intermediate School District and its constituent districts. The supervisor functions in a collaborative consultation model with local districts, public school academies, ISD programs and community agencies. Support Early On staff in the implementation of evidence-based practice and compliance indicators. Assist the Director, Early Childhood Special Education Birth to 3 with quality checking of Individualized Family Service Plans and Compliance with IDEA Part C State Performance Plan Indicators. Assist in development of Early On grant.
About You
Master’s degree in special education or administration with Emergency/Temporary or Full approval as a Supervisor of Special Education. Possess current Michigan Administrator Certification or are enrolled in a program leading to certification as a school administrator not later than six months after date of employment. 5-7 years’ experience in recent and relevant Early On experience including knowledge of current best practice and compliance requirements.
