Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our food service team at Charlotte High School. This 6-hour position plays a vital role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students and staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.

-Serve as a floatier between schools when required, filling into a variety of roles.
- Serve meals to students and staff, ensuring portion control and adherence to dietary restrictions or cashier as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist in the inventory management of food supplies and equipment, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other food service staff to ensure smooth operation of meal service.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in food service.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

- Hours 10:00am to 4:00pm M-F

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with others.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
- Certification in food safety (ServSafe or equivalent) is a plus.
