About The Role
Working closely with the Teacher Consultant, assists teachers within Wilson Talent Center classrooms in supporting students with disabilities by performing a variety of duties designed to facilitate the student’s success. Implements classroom and/or individual student behavior & academic intervention strategies under the direction of Teacher Consultant and classroom teachers. Collects information on and summarizes student progress toward academic achievement of IEP goals/objectives and/or behavior intervention plans under the direction of classroom teachers. Supervises and monitors students daily during instructional and non-structured periods.
About You
High school graduate or GED recipient. Prefer 2 years successful experience as a paraprofessional in a program for youth with autism, emotional and/or behavior disorders or equivalent experience. Demonstrates continuous learning as it relates to instructional, behavioral and therapeutic interventions for assigned students.
