REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master of Social Work
Master’s level Michigan State Social Work License or pursuit of that licensure
Certificate as a School Social Worker endorsement through the State of Michigan from an accredited college.
Ability to develop and implement 504 Plans

Experience working with students under Section 504 Plans as well as those receiving Special Education services

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES::

Perform comprehensive SSW evaluations and re-evaluations for students that may qualify for special education or are already on special education caseload.
Knowledge of Individual Education Plan, Initial or Re-Evaluation Meeting, Student Study Team, Multi-Evaluation Team Meeting, Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Improvement Plan and 504 Plans.
Able to effectively communicate with students, staff, parents, and outside support resources.
