About The Role

Under the direction of the administrator, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Math Consultant and Coach assists ISD programs and districts with professional learning, coaching, and on-site implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices within an MTSS framework and in accordance with Perkins V Core Performance Indicator 2s2.

  • Serve as a resource to constituents by providing technical assistance with planning, evaluation, and implementation of math curriculum and instruction based on student assessment data.
  • Plan, organize and provide district and school level professional development and technical assistance related to supporting secondary math core curriculum, instruction, strategic and intensive research-based interventions and assessment practices, including universal screening, progress monitoring, diagnostic, process and outcome assessments.

About You

  • Master’s degree in education with an emphasis in math
  • Possess a valid Michigan Teacher’s Certificate with an endorsement in Math (EX)
  • Five to seven years of successful recent and relevant 6-12th grade classroom teaching experience in math instruction.
